Girl Without End Movie Trivia
"Girl Without End" is the only known feature film to be shot at "The Wave" geological formation in Kanab Utah.
The film was made on a shoestring budget of approximately $11,000.
The first and last scenes were filmed in the director's unfinished basement and living room, respectively.
Some of the glass cubes in the film were real glass and were actually smashed during filming.
The story was inspired by the potential impact of AI on society and the future of corporations.
The most significant challenge during production was coordinating schedules for the cast and crew, as filming primarily took place on Saturdays over 19 months.
Ryan Kirk composed an original score for the film.
Several scenes were shot at a low-traffic shopping mall for a minimal fee during off-peak hours.
The entire cast and crew worked on the film without financial compensation, donating their time and talents.
The director, Ben Stier, played a cameo role in which he stabs his real-life mother to death on-screen.
The film premiered in Theater Feb 2022 to a full audience of fans. We decided to skip the festival run and just release the film.
Statement From The Writer / Director
Let's face it nobody cares what I write here, or who I am. And if I did write something of substance about myself here it would probably be a lie, and written just to impress you. What I will say is that with very very little budget me and some friends made a film. It had a lot of ups and downs and was written at a point where everything I had been working for in a film career collapsed, as did many projects in 2020. Throughout production we lost folks that moved away, or lost interest in the project, many rewrites had to happen and frankly it was a miracle that I had the edit that I did. It is a testament to my friends that sacrificed so much to help me realize a vision. It wouldn’t be without their support. Every name listed in the credits did 10x the work listed, it blows me away, I’m eternally grateful. The story of Girl Without End is twisted and contorted, its fragmented like our hero's mind, it doesn't play in a logical order, what you see may not be what our hero sees, just like our memories are simple shadows of real truth, it really is what I wanted to make, it really is my film.

An early trailer, we don’t use that much. But some folks love the creepy vibe. I personally don’t think it hits the mark, but still fun to see.
